ARTICLE IV
Final Provisions
Fraudulent acts relating to the implementation and enforcement of this Act shall be punishable under provisions of the:
- Revised Penal Code
- the New Civil Code
- other applicable laws
A professional who is adjudged guilty of any fraudulent act relating to
the CPD shall also be meted with the penalty of
suspension or revocation
of his/her PRC Certificate of Registration and/or Certificate of
Specialization.
In case of a government official or employee who is party to any
fraudulent act relating to the CPD, he/she shall also be subject to the
administrative penalties that may be imposed under the
- anti-graft laws
- the Administrative Code
- Code of Conduct of Public Officials
and Employees.

Section 1
Section 3.27 is hereby amended to read as: Section 3.27. Professional Identification Card
Refers to the card bearing the registration number, dates of issuance and expiry issued to a
registered professional upon payment of fees

Section 10. CPD as Mandatory Requirement in the Renewal of Professional License and Accreditation System for the Practice of Professions
10.2 DURING THIS TRANSITION PERIOD, THE FOLLOWING
SHALL BE OBSERVED:
- Professionals working overseas shall not be covered by the CPD requirement
- Newly licensed professionals shall not be covered by the CPD requirement for the first renewal cycle after obtaining their license
- The various CPD Councils shall reduce the required CPD credit units to a minimum, which shall not be
more than fifteen (15), as provided for under applicable laws
PROVIDED, HOWEVER, THAT THE FOLLOWING SHALL NOT
BE COVERED DURING THIS TRANSITION PERIOD:
- Where Professional Regulatory Laws (PRLs) of covered professions require compliance with specific number of CPD Credit Units for the renewal of the PIC
- Where the professional intends to practice the profession in countries covered by bilateral, regional or international agreements in which CPD is a recognition and eligibility requirement, such as the ASEAN Mutual Recognition Agreements (M RAs)
