  • it can be verified (ie. citations) , it is proven
  • DOES NOT have authors feelings or opinions

  • dropping normally complex ideas, events, groups of people into simple categories (a generalization of groups of genders, races, or ppl in general)
  • look for LABELS of a GROUP of people
