metronidazole 250mg TID 5-7 days
Cdiff RF:hospitalization, ppi, >65 PCR to dx, dc abx, aggressive hydration leukocytosis, wbc in stool, tenesmus ulcers/inflammation of colon
10-14 days; metronidazole 500mg TID/250mg 4x/day
vanc 125mg 4x/day
Gastroenteritis rehydration
mild (3-5%) 50mL/kg ir 5tsp/lb over 4 hours
moderate (6-9%) 100 mL/kg or 10tsp over 4 hours
