what is the LISTENER?
- receiver of the message
- if there is no listener of if the listener is not paying attention, then communication fails
what is the CHANNELS?
- the means by which the Message is sent
- 5 channels: ears, eyes, skin, mouth, and nose (SENSES)
what is the RESPONSE?
- the only way the Speaker knows that the message has been received
- based on the interpretation of the listener
what is the FEEDBACK
- the result of monitoring the listener’s response
- the speaker needs to watch out for the response to know if the message was effectively imparted or not
- it helps the speaker in continuing the next message
