MSK Emergency Conditions
- Fracture or dislocation causing neurologic or vascular compromise
- Upper Cervical instability causing neurologic symptoms
- C Spine Fracture

1) Age > 65
2) Dangerous mechanism of injury
3) Parathesias in Extremities
Canadian C Spine Rule:Low Risk Factors that allows safe assessment of ROM
1) Rear End MVC
2) Sitting position in ED
3) Delayed onset of neck pain
4) Absence of Midline C spine pain
Canadian C-Spine Rule: Able to actively rotate neck

- Fracture or dislocation NOT causing neuro or vascular compromise
- Suspicion of severely compromised soft tissue that may need surgical intervention
