What is socialisation?
A lifelong process where members of a society learn its norms, values, ideas, practices and roles in order to take their place in that society.

What is social stratification?
A type of social inequality where society is divided into different levels on the basis of a social characteristic, such as wealth or status.

What is the difference between integration and segregation?
Integration is when disabled and able bodies can take part in the same activity, segregation is when they are separated eg Paralympics.
Name three solutions to decrease the effects of barriers for disabled people.
- Provide more opportunity for success
- increased investment in disabled sport
- providing transport to facilities
- improve technology
- educating people on myths or stereo types.
