Life Expectancy
- Very useful development indicator as people who live in developed countries have a higher life expectancy.
- Better health care in developed countries (more doctors and hospitals) result in a higher life expectancy in that area.
- Higher life expectancy can be caused by a better standard/better care for the elderly in developed countries
- Access to clean water and sanitation in developed countries, increases life expectancy
- Poor food supply/famine decreases life expectancy in developing countries
% of People employed in agriculture
- As there a good education and job opportunities in developed countries, there is a low number of people employed in agriculture in these countries.
- In developing countries there are lots of subsistence farmers who have to grow food to eat
- As farming is so efficient in developed countries, few farmers are required.
