Introductory words or phrases are used at the beginning of sentences to transition, indicate time, or provide context.
(Ex. Yes, Carson is in class today.)

Other Examples: First, additionally, meanwhile, additionally, moreover, furthermore, etc.

2. “In the meantime, you can review the report.”
3. “As a result, the project was completed on time.”

A direct address is the name of a person spoken to directly. It can come anywhere in the sentence. Separate it with commas.

Examples:

Examples:
