Q

What is an example of a strange particle?

A

Kaon, these are created via strong interaction but decay in the weak interaction

Q

How are strange particles produced?

A

They are produced in pairs, one has a strangeness of +1 and one has a strangeness of -1 therefor the overall strangeness is 0 so its conserved.

Q

When a weak interaction occurs what happens to the quark structure?

A

The quark structure changes for instance if a neutron decays into a proton the structure will go from udd to uud
