What are food recalls?

A

Food recalls happen when the food has been deemed inappropriate for sale. This could include microbial contamination, labelling issues, foreign objects.

A

Trade and consumer.
Trade is removed from all points distribution - but has not been affected on a consumer level.
Consumer recall is the most expensive and deems all products unfit and need for return.

What is HACCP?

A

HACCP allows for more predictive data on your entire production line. By analysing the risks and procedures at each step you can have a pro-active risk assessment on your product. It identifies specific hazards and risks at certain stages and allows you to reduce and eliminate these issues.
