A

Muscle found on anterior portion of Femur.
only quad to cross hip joint

Proximal Attch: AIIS, superior to acetabular rim

Distal Attch: tibial tuberosity via patellar ligament

Action: hip flexion
knee extension

Fiber direction: bipennate

Proximal Attch: linea aspera (lateral lip)

Distal Attch: tibial tuberosity via patellar ligament

Action: knee extension
