Cabin altitude rapid depressurization
- Don the oxygen masks.
2. Establish crew communications.
Fire engine tailpipe
- FUEL CONTROL switch (affected engine) ……CUTOFF
ENG 1, 2, 3, 4 AUTOSTART (ABORTED ENGINE START)
- FUEL CONTROL switch ……………………………CUTOFF
ENG 1, 2, 3, 4 FAIL (TWO or MORE ENGINES)
- FUEL CONTROL switches (affected engines) ….CONFIRM, CUTOFF, then RUN
- EGT ………..MONITOR If EGT rapidly approaches the takeoff EGT limit, repeat step 1 as necessary.
NOTE: EGT indication will turn red if the EGT exceeds the ground/single engine in-flight start limit; however, for the multi-engine in-flight start, the start EGT limit reverts to the takeoff limit.
If high speed buffet occurs during the maneuver, relax pitch force as necessary to reduce buffet, but continue the maneuver.
ENGINE LIMIT/SURGE/STALL
- THRUST LEVER (affected engine) …….RETARD Retard until indications stay within normal limits, or return to normal, or the thrust lever is closed.
FIRE ENG 1, 2, 3, 4 or SEVERE ENGINE DAMAGE / SEPARATION
- Thrust Lever (affected engine) ……CONFIRM, IDLE
- FUEL CONTROL switch (affected engine) ………….. CONFIRM, CUTOFF
- Engine fire switch (affected engine) ……………………….. CONFIRM, PULL
- If the FIRE ENG message is shown:
Engine fire switch …………ROTATE Rotate to the stop and hold for 1 second.
If after 30 seconds the FIRE ENG message stays shown: Engine fire switch ……………………….. ROTATE to other BOTTLE Rotate to the other stop and hold for 1 second.
HUNG START (AUTOSTART AFTER STARTER CUTOUT)
- FUEL CONTROL switch …………………………..CUTOFF
FIRE APU
- APU fire switch ………….PULL and ROTATE Rotate to the stop and hold for one second.
FIRE ENGINE TAILPIPE
- FUEL CONTROL switch (affected engine) ………………………….. CUTOFF
FIRE MAIN DECK FIRE MN DK AFT, FWD, MID
- Step 1 is a non memory item (grd or air)
- Don the oxygen masks.
- Establish crew communications.
FIRE WHEEL WELL
- When extending or retracting the landing gear, do not exceed the gear EXTEND limit speed (270K/.82M).
- Landing gear lever …………………………… DN This attempts to remove and extinguish the fire source.
