What is a pun?
A pun is a humorous figure of speech that makes use of wordplay. A pun plays on the different possible meanings of a word. The first possible meaning is understood literally and the second possible meaning is figurative and contains the humor.

What is Irony?
Irony is a type of figure of speech. It creates humor in a situation and when Irony is present in a situation, it is called an Ironic situation.
When is a situation Ironic?
A situation is Ironic when an event takes place that is totally unexpected or deliberately the opposite of what is anticipated.
