How do we treat PHT?
A
Treat the underlyin cause
O2 - Anticoagulants - Diuretics - Vasodilating CCBs
Targeted vasodilators:
Phosphodiesterase Inhibitors e.g. sidenafil - Phosphodiesterase is a vasoconstricter
Prostacyclin - Vasodilator type of prostoglandin
Endothelin Receptor Antagonist e.g. Bosentan - Targets an excess endothelin (natural vasoconstrictor)
Lung/Heart Transplant
Thromboendarterectomy
