Define breach of the peace
Is committed whenever harm is done or is likely to be done or in his presence of his property or whenever a person is in fear of being harmed through an assault, affray, riot or other disturbance.
Define section 5 of the public order act 1986
Use threatening words or behavior or disordley behavior or displays any written sign or visible representation which is threatening or abusive and within site or hearing likely to cause harassment alarm or distress.
Define section 4a of the public order act 1968- causing intentional harassment alarm or distress
If with intent to cause person harassment alarm or distress he uses threatening, insulting words or behavior or disordley behavior or displays any writing, sign or other visible representation which is threatening abusive or insulting. Thereby causing harassment alarm or distress.
Define section 4- fear of provocation of violence
Threatening abusive or insulting words or behaviour or distributes or displays to another person any writing, sign or other visible representation which is threatening abusive or insulting with intent to cause that person to believe immediate and unlawful violence will be used against him or to provoke the immediate use of unlawful violence or the person believes that such violence will be used or it is likely that violence will be provoked.
Define section 3 affray
Uses or threatens unlawful violence towards another and his conduct is such as would cause a person reasonable firmness present to fear for his personal safety.
Define section 2- violent disorder
3 or more persons present together use or threatens unlawful violence and the conduct of them is such would cause a person of reasonable firmness present to fear for their personal safety.
Define section 1 -riot
12 of more persons use or threatens unlawful violence for a common purpose and the conduct of them is such would cause a person of reasonable firmness present to fear for their personal safety
Define section 16 of the offences against the person act 1861
A person without lawful excuse makes to another a threat intending that the other would fear it would be carried out, to kill that other or a third person.
