What are the components of the Public Health Act?
-Notification of infectious diseases procedures and regulations including prevention and suppression of such diseases
-Inspection procedures of infected premises and as well as examinations of persons suspected of infectious diseases
-Regulations on provisions for disinfections, conveyance of infected persons , removal to hospital, and burial procedures etc
-Regulation around specific formidable epidemics such as small pox and vaccinations and prevention procedures
-Provision of latrine accommodation such as latrines for factories, workshops, boarding-houses, hotels, etc and regulations and penalties for contravening such regulations
-Another important component is on the authority bodies to enforce the Act for specific Public Health Areas such as health departments, Local government etc.
