Features of Jewish public worship? (3)
1)On Sabbath morning families go to the synagogue for morning prayer.
2)The sefer torah is taken out of the ark and carried to the bimah where the rabbi reads the sidra.
3)Men are called to recite a blessing and one man is called to read a book of the prophets.
Importance of synagogue worship? (3)
It is required to celebrate celebrations like rosh hashanah and yom kippur.
Family celebrations happen in the synagogue.
It enhances sabbath properly.
Importance of individual worship? (3)
Gives order and purpose to their life.
Opportunity to reflect on the serious side of their life.
They can listen to torah readings.
How do Liberal Jews worship?
They have mixed seatings.
They believe the Torah isn’t the word of God so they believe in equality.
