Examines the relationship between the individual and the world. Concerned with the purpose/meaning of life.

What is humanism?
A
Focuses on the uniqueness of human beings and their capacity for choice, growth, and psychological health. The theory teaches that human beings are innately goods.

Humanistic psychology comes from what?
A
Existentialist philosophy. The idea is that people need the freedom to find their unique “meaning.” We provide freedom from the confines of judgement through Unconditional Positive Regard.
