some of us have predispositions towards psychological disorders.
positive symptoms of schizophrenia
hallucinations (often auditory), dillusions, disordganied thoughts speech and behaviour.
negative symptoms of schizophrenia
decrease in emotional range, lack of motivation, lack of speech.
cognitive symptoms of schizophrenia
working memory, executive function are affected. they can also struggle with interpersonal communication.
mood symptoms of schizophrenia
in many cases it has a mood disorder component with it.

loss of grey matter, enlarged ventricles
dopamine theory in schizophrenia
too much activity at the receptors. people with schizo who take amphetamines have a more exaggerated response
glutamate hypofunction theory for schizo
people with schizo have less glutamate receptors
if a schizophrenia pateint was given bone marrow transplant, their schizo went away (some sort of immune correlation??)

most psychopaths can be diagnosed with antisocial personality disorder, but not all people with antisocial personality disorder will be diagnosed with psychopathy
