ICD Diagnosis of Dependency syndrome
Need 3 simultaneously in past year from the list below:
- Craving
- Control (loss of)
- Continued use despite harm
- Primacy
- Physiological withdrawal

3 Cs, 2 Ps, one T
what is serotonin syndrome?
Typically caused by use of 2 or more antipsychotic medications and in about 15% SSRI overdoses Symptoms include: -seizures -hyperthermia -dilated pupils -agitation -increased reflexes -brisk reflexes -tremor -sweating diarrhoea
what is discontinuation syndrome?
when you abruptly stop an SSRI, sleep disturbances, anxiety, movement disturbances including tremor and tardive dyskinesia
ICD 10 for depression
At least 1 of ..... for >2 weeks -Low mood -Anhedonia -Anergia and then any of -decreased conc/indecisiveness -low self esteem -feelings of guilt, hopelessness, worthlessness -increased or decreased appetite -agitation or slowness of movements -sleep disturbance suicidal thoughts or acts
mild depression
4 of the 10 symptoms (one needs to be low mood, anergia, or anhedonia)
moderate depression`

- efforts to avoid abandonment
- unstable relationships which vary between idealization and devaluation
- identity problems
- mood swings
- splitting
- hx abuse :(
FEATURES OF ANTISOCIAL PERSONALITY
- often break rules/laws
- psychopath/sociopath
- disregard for feelings or rights of others
- lack empathy
- understand social cues so are manipulative
