Chronic Plaque Psoriasis Presentation
A
- Bright pink lesion with overlying, well demarcated circular to oval bright red lesions
- With overlying silver scale
- Fissures can occur over joint lines
- New lesions often appear at site of injury or trauma (Köbners)
- Presents slightly differently in children (plaques less thick and less scaly, can appear in nappy region and flexural area, more common in face)
- Nail changes
- Acute episodes can develop into more severe disease (pustular or erythrodermic)
