Bruxism definition
brief or sustained EMG activity at least twice the amplitude of the background EMB. Phasic duration is 0.25 - 2s and > 3 elevations in a regular sequence. Tonic activity is > 2 s.

- Increase in PCO2 to >55 for >10min
- > 10mmHg increase in PCO2 during sleep compared with awake to a value exceeding 50mmHg for >10min
- Low oxygen saturation not sufficient
