A

What were the July Days?

A

An explosion of frustration from peasants, workers, soldiers and sailors. They demonstrated in the streets, attacked and looted property, and seized railway stations and buildings.

A

. The peasants wanted to take back the land that they believed belonged to them.
. Peasants refused to agree to fixed grain prices and the PG sent in the army to requisition grain from them.

Food and raw material shortages, due to the war, led to factories closing and laying off workers. 568 factories closed in Petrograd between February and July.
