Proteins synthesis Flashcards
1
Q
Why is DNA in the nucleolus
A
DNA, which contains our genetic code located in the nucleolus is unable to leave the nucleus due to its capacity so it requires MRNA to transfer the information.
2
Q
What is MRNA?
A
MRNA is the important messenger in the chain as it carries the corresponding DNA strands which are read in codons to the ribosomes.
3
Q
What happens in the ribosome?
A
Once MRNA as reached the ribosome it is collected by the TRNA which copies the corresponding codons once again to be converted into amino acids which construct proteins.
