Propaganda is information used to influence the ideas and attitudes of a group of people by presenting only one minute side of the arguement.

WHY DID THE AUSTRALIAN GOVERNMENT CENSOR AND WHAT DID THEY CENSOR?

A

The Australian government believed that strict censorship was necessary to maintain public morale and to maintain national security.
They censored all forms of media (such as newspapers, radio broadcasts) and they were subject to controls and limited to what they could report.

A

Propaganda was used to enlist men to fight, make people work in specific industries and support certain causes.
It was used to unite Australia against a certain enemy by playing around with emotions.
