Propeller System Flashcards
Max transient RPM?
For 20 seconds, 1870 RPM.
Max reverse RPM?
1650 RPM.
Ground prohibited range?
350 - 950 RPM
ConstantSpeedUnit and Nf governing section are part of what?
Primary Governor.
CSU is set to maintain what RPM?
1700 RPM.
Nf is set to maintain what Np?
109% Np.
Over-speed governor is set to maintain what RPM?
106% Np.
When operating PCL in reverse, what governs prop speed?
Nf section of primary governor.
N(free turbine!)
What should be ground idle Np?
1060 RPM.
What is the primary governor?
Regulates supply of oil to the propeller hub which adjusts propeller pitch. (sensitive to changes in Np)
What is the Nf section?
Operates in conjunction with the FCU to prevent prop-overspeed.
Essentially if the flyweights overspeed Py air bleeds and results in less fuel being metered.
Over-speed governor:
It is like the primary governor; but it is maxed at 1802 RPM.
What are the limits of each governor?
Primary = 1700 RPM
Nf governor: = 1853 RPM
Overspeed governor = 1802 RPM
What will the propeller rotate on ground when set to idle?
1060 RPM.
When would the LOW PROP P light come on in flight?
Only if the PCL is moved to the beta range.
