- Water is in the top right corner
- Discretionary foods are in the bottom right corner
- Good fats are in the bottom left corner
- Advice on being physically active and drinking water in the top left corner

The HEP is a food model NOT an initiative.
It has foundation layers (vegetables, fruit and grains), middle layer (dairy and meat), top layer (unsaturated fats)
- Water in the bottom right corner
- Herbs and spices in the bottom left corner
- Limit added salt and sugar top left corner
- Across the bottom “Enjoy a variety of food and be active everyday!”
What else does Nutrition Australia provide to promote health?
Educational Resources:
- Gives individuals the knowledge on how to produce their own healthy recipes.
- Also provides them with the knowledge on how to find good nutritious food when eating out.
Publication of Recipes:
- Gives individuals a variety of options to keep them open minded and away from junk food.
- Also provides ways of making sweet foods that also have more health benefits than junk food.
