How will you set up/execute a HOLD in the CRJ200?

A
  • FMS in NAV mode

LEGS page, select the point along the route that your holding over, click the HOLD button on the FMS, then you input what ATC told you

  • Info reviewed, and EXEC
  • Slow to 230kts when 3 min out from holding fix
  • Airspeed +/-10, Altitude +/-100
  • When ready to leave hold, us FMS exit holding function

How to input your VDP in to the FMS

A
  • Go to LEGS
  • Select MAP
    In your brain calculate the DME distance from the MAP and the VDP (VDP DME - MAP DME)
  • Now select MAP down to scratch pad, then backslash key, then +/- key and put in the difference you calculated with a - then hit / again and type VDP
  • Now put it up where MAP is on FMS Legs and it will insert your VDP in between your MAP and the missed procedure

5NM: Gear Down, Flaps 30, Before Landing to the line complete. Also set new altitude bug to 400’ AGL/50’ below MDA

2NM: Flaps 45, Before Landing Below the Line complete
