  1. Press Start button (hold 3 secs minimum)
  2. Check IGN A or IGN B light (EICAS)
  3. Check L/R ENGINE START light (EICAS)
    * begin timing for starter limits*
  4. 20 percent N2/ITT below 120 - Thrust Levers to IDLE
  5. Monitor engine (observe ITT rise within limits)
  6. 55 percent N2 - IGNITION and STARTER cutout

A

1st flight of the day - L engine first
Put finger up to Glareshield to tell ground crew you’re ready to spool up

  1. Packs - OFF
  2. Ignition - ARMED
  3. Fuel Check Valve - (standby)…
    Place hand on respective thrust lever, and push in started for 3 seconds min
    “N2”
    “oil pressure”
    “N1”
  • Looking for 20 percent N2 then Thrust lever to Idle

“fuel flow”

ITT rise - “Light off”

“Started cutout”

Keep hand on thrust lever until 246:
(2x - N1) (4xx - ITT) (6x - N2)

Turn off fuel pumps - look for L R BOOST PUMP INOP and L R FUEL LO PRESS cautions…if does not appear proceed to dry motor! - then turn fuel pumps back on

A

FLTPLN - enter Dept, Dest, Flight #, Alternate
DEP/ARR - to set dept procedure, select runway
LEGS - verify
confirm and EXEC

PERF - enter ATIS temp. Go to 3rd page to enter other misc flight info (# of pax, etc)
MFD MENU - select info you want displayed (VNAV, Speed, Alt, etc)
RADIO - AUTO for auto-tune function, and verify freqs set
