The professional standards that registered nurses and nursing associates must uphold when in practice
What does a nurse need to re-register?
- To have practiced for the past 3 years (minimum of 450 hours)
- To have evidence of CPD (minimum 40 hours)
What is the NMC register?
- A list of all the nurses, midwives and nursing associates
- Must re-register every 3 years
What is the purpose of the NMC?
- Maintain registers
- Set a standard for conduct, pro for acne and ethics for the staff
- Provide advice for the staff
