Advantages of batch production?

1. Economies of scale can be achieved if there is a large batch leading to a reduction in costs
2. Faster production rate and less expensive than job production as no labour just machinery
3. Flexible as design of product can be changed between each batch

1. Economies of scale will not be achieved with a small batch thus becomes more expensive than flow
2. Increases WORK IN PROGRESS levels leading to an impact on effectiveness
