Advantages of flow

1. Economies of scale and reduced labour costs
2. Increased labour pro utility and decreased labour costs as it is not so labour intensive
3. Quality is maintained hence accuracy of product and less chances of negative changes occurring

Disadvantages of flow

1. Demotivation from employees and always doing the same thing and machine does most of the work
2. Requires a large start up capital and capital investment as they are generally very expensive
3. Quite inflexible as it is difficult and time consuming to switch from one product to another
