What is consciousness raising?
Increasing knowledge around PA, benefits, guidelines etc.
What is dramatic relief?
Understanding the impact of inactivty
What is environmental re-evaluation?
Realising the negative affect being inactive has on those around you and how being active could positively effect those around you.
What is Self re-evaluation?
Realising values related to PA.
What is social liberation
Understanding that societal norms surrounding PA have changed to encourage a more active lifestyle.
What is Counter-conditioning?
Substituting inactivity for more active options.
What is helping relationships?
Getting support from family and friends
What is reinforcement management?
Rewarding (both intrinsically and extrinsically) positive changes to activity levels.
What is self-liberation?
Making plans and commitments to change.
What is stimulus control?
Removing cues for inactivity and using prompts to be more active
