Sequencing

A

When CYYZ is landing runways 23, 24L or 26R or runways 05,06L or 06R, similar-type arrivals must be sequenced 7 MIT over each bedpost (one stream 7 MIT over RAGID and a second stream 7 MIT over IMEBA).

When CYYZ is landing runways 15L, 15R, 33L or 33R, PI must sequence similar types 7 MIT to VIDRO, (single stream staggered over the two bedposts). Arrivals must remain over their respective bedposts.

Q

Montreal

Height Measuring Unit (HMU) Route

A

Montreal ACC has established an HMU route (height measuring unit for non-RVSM aircraft). Aircraft that originate either from Montreal or Toronto FIRs start the route at BEMOG–OMEGI-ILEMU-BEMOG at FL290 and above. This route and the altitude requested must be coordinated with Toronto. The aircraft will fly over the AGHME (depicted on the CSiT overlay) and must maintain the coordinated altitude until at least 20 NM west of AGHME, unless the pilot requests otherwise. After the altitude test is over, the aircraft (if destined for an airport in Montreal FIR) will proceed direct BEMOG. Aircraft that depart CYZD will inform Toronto where they wish to go. In the event of a communications failure, aircraft on the HMU route destined for an airport located in Montreal’s area will proceed direct to BEMOG and maintain the last assigned altitude. Aircraft that originate within Toronto FIR will proceed direct YYB at the last assigned altitude and follow lost communication procedures as laid out in the Montreal – Toronto Arrangement Appendix C.
