behaviour that harms society and its members by purposefully violating the rights of others
pro social behaviour
voluntary actions that promote social acceptance and benefit society and its members

the more people present, the less likely help will be offered by any of the individuals

the social norm where a person feels obligated to return the favour to a person that does something for them

the theory that individuals are accountable for acting in a way that benefits society

- empathy
- mood- less likely to help with a low mood and vice versa
- competence- positive correlation between the competence someone feels and the way they positively impact others
altruism
helping others without expecting any personal reward
unselfish and may result in the person putting themselves at risk
