Advantage : more efficient schools
Those working from a business like ethos in education or have that expertise to bring to it , aims to maximise resources for outcomes therefore providing higher standards
Profit motive
May encourage private companies to intervene and improve schools in areas where education is of poor quality and to make a profit the companies need to make sure schools are full and run efficiently
Money may be drained from the education system
Private providers may not want to reinvest in the system, public money becomes private sector profit
Privatisation not a guarantee of quality
In 2014, Ofsted announced that it would stop using private contractors to carry out school inspections following concerns over selection, training and quality of inspectors employ

Educational triage where the status of the student in terms of their potential effect on the schools results is valued more than equality of opportunity as learners and influences the support they receive
