Use hazard warning lights and place a warning triangle 45m away from scene.

Put handbrake on and switch off ignition
How can you stop or reduce bleeding?
Apply pressure to wound, wrap tightly with temporary bandage.
What might someone in a road accident suffer with right after?
Shock
How can you know if a casualty is suffering with shock?
Their pale, feels faint or dizzy
Breathing is shallow and quick
Is sick and vomits
Pulse is weak but quick
Their thirsty
Why should you not give a casualty something to drink after an accident?
In case of internal injuries or internal bleeding.
What should you do when a person is in shock?
Sit them down with the head kept low to one side. Loosen clothing. Wrap extra clothes or blankets around to maintain heat.
