Q

What is photomechanical transfer in offset lithography

A

They are thin aluminium and he colours of the image are separated into cmyk and printed out. These are placed onto the aluminium plates and UV light is shone through them. The plats have a special green coating that reacts to the UV. This means ink only sticks to the part of the plate where UV has hit it.
