Primary Cells and Secondary Cells Flashcards
1
Q
primary cells
A
Some cells use up their electric charge quickly and can’t be charged again. Primary cells are thrown away after use. Most dry cells are primary cells.
2
Q
secondary cells or storage cells
A
The electrodes and the electrolyte in these cells can be re charged or restored to their original state of chemical activity. A cell is recharged by passing current through the cell in the direction opposite to the discharge current.
