What is Thrombocytopenia?
A
This is low platelets causing petichae
It usually occurs post infection
Clotting factors and times are all normal

What is Von Willibrands Disease?
A
This is an autosomal dominant disease which:
Increased bleeding time and APTT as VWF binds to FVIII
Treatment - Transexamic acid (Anti fibronilytic)
Desmopressin - increaes VWF expression

What is Bernard soulier?
A
The loss of G1b which binds VWF so increased bleeding time but all levels are fine
