What is heparin?
This is an anti thrombin (FII) drug
What is LMWH
100 bioavailable heparin
What is heparin induced thrombocytopenia?
Type 1 - The postively charged heparin causes agglutination
Type 2 - SERIOUS - Get an immune response to the antibodies causing agglutination. DO NOT GIVE MORE PLATELETS OR HEPARIN
What is warfarin?
Vitamin K antagonist (2,7,9,10)
Not in pregnancy - teratogenic

When would you not give warfarin?
Pregnancy as it is teratogenic
What is the differnce between aspirin and clopidegrel?
Aspirin - Thromboxane A2 inhibitor for aggregation
clopidegrel - ADP antagonist for platelet and fibrin aggregation
