RF for face presentation

A

1) Contracted maternal pelvis or cephalo-pelvic disproportion

2) Multiparity or decreased uterine tone, leading to natural extension of the fetal head

3) Nuchal cord

4) Fetal goitre or sterno-mastoid tumour - causes extension of fetal neck

5) Anencephaly (>30% of cases of face presentation)

6) Other fetal anomalies in up to 60%
