  1. ID official who can address and resolve physical safety issues - law enforcement, Fire/Rescue, etc
  2. make sure the environment is safe from objects that could cause harm eg broken glass
  3. students should have a clean and safe environment to work and play, with adequate supervision
  4. being aware and sensitive to subgroups that might be targets for crisis related persecution

A
  1. ensure adequate lighting, implement protective measures to minimize slipping, falling, etc.
  2. ensure students who lack mobility or may fall easily are in places with adequate access, not require stairs
  3. ensure access to mobility and sensory devices, e.g. wheel chairs, glasses, hearing aids
  4. ensure self care needs are met, e.g. power sources for medical fragile equipment
  5. ensure medications are available
  6. ensure students with autism avoid unfamiliar and over-stimulating environments
