Patchy inflammation throughout small and large bowel
Crohn’s disease
part of a group of digestive conditions called inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).
CROHN’S DISEASE
affect any part of the GI tract but most
commonly affects the terminal ileum and large intestine, which connects the end of the small bowel to the beginning of the large intestine, or colon.

Removal of the colon, rectum is reconnected to small intestine after colon is removed

is an inflammation of the appendix - a narrow tube attached to the base of the cecum.
