A
- basic pt details
- anaesthetic Hx - problems, N, V, airway issues, ICU
- FHx - suxamethonium apnoea, malignant hyperthermia
- PMHx - HT, IHD, HF, AF, pacemakers, surgery
- RESP - COPD, asthma, sleep apnoea
- GI - GORD, hiatus hernia
- neuro - CVA, epilepsy
- MSK - RA, ank spond
- other - DM, thyroid, coag, anaemia, CKD, liver
- dental - caps/crowns/false teeth
- DHx - steroids?
- SHx - smoking, alcohol, exercise tolerance
- last ate/drank

Ex in pre-op assessment?
A
- Mallampati score
- neck flexion/extension
- thyromental distance >6.5cm (less = difficult intubation)
- jaw protrusion
