Q

Ex: distension with dull percussion +/- shifting dullness?

A

fluid:
• ascites, from cirrhosis or malignancy, look for shifting dullness +/- fluid thrill
• distended bladder (can’t get below it)
• AAA (expansile)

fluid can also be sequestered in bowel like in obstruction/ilues
