ΔΔ medical causes in the acute abdomen?

A
  • HEART: inferior MI (remember in DM, MI can be “silent” and present with no pain but V and D only)
  • LUNG: lower lobe CAP/PE
  • ENDOCRINE: DKA, Addison’s, hypercalcaemia
  • AI: vasculitis (HSP), SLE
  • BLOOD: porpyhria, sickle cell crisis, hereditary angioedema, etc etc
