When should CPR be stopped in the asystolic patient?
unless <18, pregnant, drowned, poisoned or hypothermic
can be stopped if continuously asystolic after 20 mins of ALS and identification and treatment of all reversible causes
What can you treat hypotension with after rosc?
Boluses of adrenaline 0.05-0.1 mg IV/IO
What should be excluded in combative patients?
hypoglycaemia
When transporting a patient what should be done to maintain cerebral perfusion?
- supine
- feet first if coming downstairs
- head tilted up in vehicle
What handover can be used to prealert?
Medical
A-age
T- time of onset
M- medical complaint/history
I- investigations
S- vital signs
T- treatment, including ETA
Trauma
A- Age
T- time of incident
M- mechanism of injury
I- injuries (top to toe)
S- vital signs
T- treatment including eta
