Definition PDSS
is a temporary duty (TDY) activity designated to ensure all logistics and administrative requirements are in place for a scheduled event.
Importance of PDSS (2)
the ability to conduct an effective PDSS is critical to the mission success and the reduction of lost training time
a clear understanding of the mission, environment, geography, and human terrain will enable the unit to minimize unforeseen issues
PDSS guidelines (4)
executed with a small number of personnel (2-3)
