When was the asa classification created?

What is the ASA classification?
Physical status classification system
What is ASA 1?
Fit and healthy - no systemic disease
What is ASA 2?
Mild systemic disease - does not affect patient’s lifestyle
What is ASA 3?
Moderate / systemic disease - limits activity but is not incapacitating
What is ASA 4?
Incapacitating systemic disease which is a constant threat to life
What is ASA 5?
Moribund - not expected to survive 24 hours or without medical intervention
What is ASA 6?
Declared brain dead whose organs are being removed for donor purposes

What is the CORAH Scale used to assess?

To get a baseline of readings so we have something to compare

Complete 12 hours ever 5 years that are relevant to sedation
How long do dental records need to be stored for?

Under what circumstances would dental records need to be kept for longer than usually expected?
Complex tx / difficult pts. Keep for 30 years
